BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Rodents abundance evaluation:

Breeding conditions:

Numbers of grouse increased rapidly after a few years of low abundance caused by high flood in 1999. Numbers of geese in the Kolyma River floodplain decreased. Intensive fishing by local people in the settlement vicinity attracted gulls to the area. Current difficulties with boats and fuel resulted in reduction of disturbance elsewhere.
